Getting to Pattaya
The easiest and most popular way to get to Pattaya from Bangkok is by bus. The trip takes 2 hours. There are 3 bus terminals available in Bangkok. 1. Eastern Bus Terminal Bangkok (Eakamai)
First class air-conditioned (buses run by Roong Rueng Coach Co. Ltd. The buses leave .every 30 minutes daily. The first leaves at 05.00 a.m. and the last one leaves at 11.00 p.m.
2. North and Northeastern Bus Terminal Bangkok (Morchit)
First class air conditioned buses run by the same Roong Rueng Coach Co.,Ltd. the first bus leaving at 04.30 a.m. and the last one at 09.30 p.m.
3. Southern Bus Terminal Bangkok (Sai Tai)
First class air conditioned buses run by Roong Rueng Coach Co.,Ltd. the first bus leaving at 06.00 a.m, and then at 08.30 a.m., 10.30 a.m., 12.30 p.m., 02.30 p.m., 04.30 p.m. and the last one leaves at 06.30 p.m.
There is only one train available on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and it departs from Bangkok's Hualamphong Train Station at 06:55 am. and arrives in Pattaya at 10:18, before continuing on to Sattahip; it then returns via Pattaya at 14:21 and terminates back in Bangkok at 17.40 am. There is no train available on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
By Taxi (Bangkok - Pattaya)
A taxi service from Bangkok International Airport to Pattaya is widely available. The trip lasts about 2 – 2.5 hours depending on traffic. The price is about 800-2,000 Baht. The price can be negotiated and no money is payable prior to travel.
